Overview
Arthur Miller's dark American classic The Crucible will arrive on stage in the Fall. Set during the Salem Witch Trials, The Crucible creates a powerful allegory for McCarthyism and the abuse of authority. Director George Maguire has reimagined the once sleepy village of Salem in a whole new light. Maguire's new vision is inspired in part by Burning Man, the counter-culture desert festival, and in part by American master painter Andrew Wyeth. SCT's production of The Crucible takes a fresh look at the classic tale of power, passion and lies - it will not be your typical school performance.
