& workshops

Solano Community College offers performance opportunities to students in select classes across the theatre, music, and dance disciplines, and some performance classes require an audition. You can view all available SCC courses by clicking HERE.

We also offer workshops to share workplace and performance training with Solano County K-12 students and teachers, as well as the general public on occasion!

CASTING CALL

SCC – THEA 148D – Directing and Stage Management Class 2026

GENERAL INFORMATION:

REHEARSALS:  Mon/Wed for 1.5-2 hours (between the hours of 2 – 6pm) starting Oct 5th

PERFORMANCE:  Monday, December 7 at 6pm (Fairfield Campus)

SCENES:  Between 10 – 15 minutes long

  • The 39 Steps by Patrick Barlow – Directed by Comet Ziemer

    • In this action-packed melodrama, Richard is framed for murder and chased across Europe finding secrets and trying to clear his name.  Some fight choreography.

      • Looking for 4 actors: 1 male, 1 female, and 2 any gender

  • Blu from The Bully Plays by Gloria Bond Clunie – Directed by Kai Fontana

    • Drama about an 8th grade artist who struggles with bullying since they’d rather show their rainbows than just fit in.

      • Looking for 4 actors, any gender

  • Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller – Directed by Joseph Martinez

    • A drama about an aging, struggling traveling salesman who breaks down under the weight of his failed career and shattered American Dream

      • Looking for 4 actors: 3 male, 1 female

  • Fences by August Wilson – Directed by Jaheim Cyree

    • A drama about an African American in the 1950’s who struggles with he missed opportunities of his past and the tensions in his family. 

      • Looking for 3 male, 1 female – must be people of color

  • Post its (Notes on a Marriage) by Paul Dooley & Winnie Holzman  –  Directed by Katie Habash

    • A humorous and heartfelt short play that follows the highs, lows, and the daily in-betweens of an anonymous couple throughout their relationship

      • Looking for 2 Actors – 1 male, 1 female

  • Transferring Kyle by Johnathan Cook – Directed by William “Myles” Schmidt

    • A dramatic comedy where Kyle is replaced at work by a new version of himself.

      • Looking for 3 actors – 2 male, 1 female
